Hanayama Katsuno puzzles in Tokyo

Hanayama is a famous Japanese puzzle game manufacturer and their products have been sold worldwide.

I personally found Katsuno puzzles interesting because they stimulate brain activities as you play with these toys.

They have several Katsuno puzzles (Katsuno literally means activating brain) , but I am particularly interested in Lucky cube and Double cube puzzles, that is mainly because you can play with them forever creating different shapes and they are perfect fidget toys.

Our store generally sells only those products made in Japan, but these puzzles are exceptions. Please note that although they are created by Japanese puzzle creators and planned in Japan, they are made in China.

Lucky cube comes with two polyhedron which consist of eight pieces. You can create a cube by connecting these two polyhedrons and by further folding and stretching the joints, they can be transformed into numerous different geometric shapes.

It comes with the handbook which suggests 30 different shapes to try, but you can also create completely new shapes using your own imagination.

It was created by Kiichi Miyazaki.

Double cube was released in January 2019 and it was created by Akira Nishihara.

This puzzle comes with two polyhedron which consist of 12 pieces.

You can also create numerous different shapes with these two polyhedrons.

The booklet is also included with 30 different sample silhouettes to try, but like Lucky cube, you can also create your own shapes.

Both of them are 1,680yen +tax/each.

It is rather hard to understand how it works by just reading this blog, but you can touch and play with them at my store in Tokyo, so if you are in Tokyo, please feel free to try visit our store!
