Lotus leaf porcelain plates by Ms. Motoko Takahashi 高橋朋子さんの蓮の葉皿

I already introduced her few months ago on my blog (Spirited young talented ceramic artist, Ms. Tomoko Takahashi), so you can check her profile there. I am going to introduce her new lotus leaf plates today.

They come in three different sizes and all of them are coated with real silver. The silver will not come off easily, but the color can be oxidized, so it changes the color gradually, if you do not polish them regularly.

The smallest one is about 7cm in diameter and the middle size is about 16cm. The largest one is about 27.5cm.

They are all made by hand, so each of them has slightly different shapes.

They are beautiful, aren’t they?

They can, of course, be used as plates for serving food, so you can create your own lotus pond on your table with these ones.

The smallest one is 1,500yen + tax, followed by the middle one of 6,000yen+tax. The largest one is 25,000yen+tax. They are relatively expensive as plates, but worth having them to entertain your guests at parties.
