They look like carved wooden plates, but they are actually pottery with silver coated on the surfaces.
Mr. Ryosuke Ando was born in 1980 and is from Aichi prefecture Japan. His works are meticulously designed, so that they are almost like art pieces, but they can, of course, be used as plates.
These round plates come in three different sizes
S φ9cm/H1.2cm 2,000yen+tax
M φ13cm/H1.4cm 3,000yen+tax
L φ17cm/H1.4cm 4,000yen+tax
There are square ones as well.
These small boxes also come in three different sizes
S W6cm/D6cm/H4.5cm 3,500yen+tax
M W6cm/D6cm/H6.4cm 4,000yen+tax
L W6.5cm/D6.5cm/H8.5cm 4,500yen+tax
He also designed different series, also like wood being carved with chisels.
These are sake containers. The one on the left is white and the other one is silver coated.
The sizes and prices are; W10cm/D14cm/H8cm and white one is 7,800yen+tax、silver coated one is 8,800yen+tax。
These are sake cups and the sizes and prices are φ5.5cm/H5cm. 3,000yen+tax for the white one and 3,800yen+tax for the silver one.
These are rice bowls.
They are beautiful, aren’t they? We generally use the bowl for eating rice, but you can use them as soup bowls too.
