Inlaid porcelain matcha tea bowl by Mr. Shinya Taniguchi 谷口晋也

I already introduced Mr. Taniguchi on my previous blog, so I will skip the details.

This type of cup or bowl is generally used for tea ceremony in Japan.

The size is about 11cm in diameter and the hight of about 6.5cm.

Very simple square repetitive pattern, which I personally like.

The beauty of this bowl is particularly the back of the bowl. It looks a bit like 2020 Tokyo orimpic logo.

The price is 16,000yen+tax (as of today).
